Pondok Pesantren Madinatunnajah established on 14 February 1997 by Drs. KH. Mahrus Amin on the land area of 2.5 ha. Pondok Pesantren Madinatunnajah founded under the auspices of the Foundation for Education and Endowments of Islamiyah An-Najah Jakarta and built on fundamental vision "Rabbi Zidni Ilman".
 
These visions as it is developed were Integrated Educational System from the Basic education level to higher education, so that Madinatunnajah can place himself as the Islamic Boarding School for Islamic Leadership. For that is the program developed and developing mental discipline such as speech training, scouting, and the ability to speak english arab, guidance of worship, sports and arts. With competence, and God's will that pondok pesantren Madinatunnajah mission could accomplished, that to have a certain noble, and a conception good civil society students.
